Couples Therapy
If conflicts repeatedly break out, misunderstandings make communication difficult or emotional closeness is lost, couples therapy can help to understand and change these dynamics.
Together, we’ll work to break the "vicious circle" and create new opportunities for an appreciative and authentic connection.
-
Individual Counseling
Individual counseling is meant for both singles and people in relationships who want to explore their own relationship patterns, values and needs.
It often turns out that old experiences shape our view of ourselves and others - in what patterns do you react in conflicts? What expectations do you have of yourself and your partner? How can you recognize and express your own needs more clearly?
These are some of the questions we will focus on in individual therapy.
-
Separation Counseling
Separation is a profound process that often comes with sadness, anger and insecurity.
Whether you're still unsure if a separation is the right decision or are already in the middle of the separation process - professional support can help you to manage this phase consciously and respectfully.
Separation counseling is about gaining clarity about your own needs, dealing with emotional stress and creating a good foundation for your own future.

We keep getting into the same conflicts and our arguments escalate quickly.
I have lost trust in my partner or have been hurt - due to infidelity, mistrust or unresolved conflicts.
I don't feel understood by my partner and wish I could finally be heard.
The closeness between us has changed - emotionally or physically.
Our communication often ends in misunderstandings, frustration or withdrawal.
I have the feeling that we are drifting apart, but I don't know how we can find back to each other.
Life changes (e.g. parenthood, job change, illness) are putting a strain on our relationship.
I am at a turning point and wonder: do we want to stay together or go our separate ways?
-
I am unsure whether my relationship is still the right one for me.
I experience similar conflicts in my partnerships time and time again and want to understand why.
I have difficulty letting go of past relationships and want emotional clarity.
I've been single for a long time and wonder why I can't find a new partner.
I am afraid of being abandoned or afraid of being alone.
I often put my own needs on the back burner and want to learn to set my boundaries more clearly.
I want to rebuild trust in myself and in relationships.
I would like to have a better understanding of my own attachment patterns and behaviors.
I am facing an important decision and need support to gain clarity.
-
I am facing separation and would like the process to be respectful and fair.
I am newly separated and need support to deal with the pain and the change.
I want to be able to emotionally come to terms with a past relationship and let go.
I'm not sure whether separatng is the right step.
I want to end my relationship, but I'm afraid of the consequences or feel overwhelmed.
I would like to have better communication with my ex-partner, e.g. for a peaceful separation or shared parenting.
I need support to develop new perspectives for my life after a separation.
I want to find out which patterns from past relationships should not be repeated.
The motives for couples or individual therapy can be very diverse. However, there are often similar issues in which people see themselves. Nevertheless, you may be unsure whether couples therapy is the right step. A first consultation can give you more clarity.
If you’re unsure whether my services are suitable for your concerns, please feel free to write to me. Together we can see whether couples therapy/individual counseling can be useful in your case.
The process of couples therapy
-
A FIRST INSIGHT AND GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER
The first session is about understanding your situation and seeing whether couples therapy makes sense for you.
In a couple setting, both partners have their say and we clarify the first important questions: What are your current challenges? What goals do you have? What do you hope to gain from counseling?
At the same time, you will get to know my way of working and we will discuss how our process may look. This session also serves to see whether the chemistry between us is right - a trusting relationship is the basis for successful therapy.
-
UNDERSTANDING PATTERNS AND CREATING CHANGE
During the sessions we explore the patterns that make up your relationship. We often start with individual sessions to better understand individual experiences and emotions.
Simultaneously, we'll have couple sessions in which you learn new communication and conflict resolution strategies. Here, it's not just about discussing problems, but about discovering new ways to strengthen your partnership and bring you closer together again.
Each session has a clear focus and gives you concrete ideas for everyday life.

HOW LONG DOES COUPLES THERAPY GO?
The duration of therapy depends on your individual topics and goals. Typically, couples work with me for between 4 and 12 sessions. For some couples, longer support is useful - in this case, we arrange the intervals between sessions more flexibly.
The aim is for you to develop a deep understanding of each other at the end of the process, to leave the therapy stronger and to be able to use the tools you have learned to shape your relationship positively in the long term.
